Every Author Can Benefit Greatly From This 1 Document

Whether you've written so many books that you can't count them all on both hands or if you've just completed your first book, this 5 minute read will save you hours of your precious time and will give you the tools you need to efficiently and effectively help build your personal brand around all the hard work you've already put in.

Pull Quotes Are Your Best Friend.

Spend some time going through your entire book, identify pull quotes that are intriguing, create curiosity, inspire, motivate, or that would encourage someone to take action. What I encourage authors to do is to create a list of these quotes in a word document.

Continue reading to find out why this will be one of your most valuable word documents you ever create.

Quote Cards, Short Videos, Articles, and More!

Now that you have what I personally believe to be one of the most valuable documents you can have as an author getting ready to kickstart their social media efforts to promote their book(s), it's time to put it to work!

Quote Cards

A fun, eye-catching way to capture the attention of your audience.

Design a template or multiple templates (sized correctly for each social media platform) that align with your brand, and overlay the pull-quotes on these graphics. Eye-catching, motivational and inspirational messages are being shared millions of times a day online, why shouldn't your design and message be one of them?

Short Videos and Articles

One of the most powerful ways to connect with your audience and build brand.

As you already know, it's impossible to fit everything you originally wanted to include in your book. I bet at one point you've thought to yourself, "It's such a shame that we couldn't include x, y, and z in this book because it would've supplemented the content that made it into the book really well." Well guess, what: it's time to talk about the content that didn't make it. Flip on the webcam or pull out your cell phone camera for 2-3 minutes and elaborate on those concepts. Feeling stuck and can't think of anything to talk about at the moment? Skim through your pull quote document for a quote that triggers an idea or that you can talk about and elaborate more on.

Not comfortable with getting in front of the camera? Or maybe video just isn't your thing. Instead of recording videos, communicate in written form by writing articles like the one you're reading right now.

Let's get to work! :)

Be great,

-Mike
